Recycling Workshop Topics:
Climate Change
Recycling reduces greenhouses gases on many
levels, and will increasingly play more of a role in
tracking greenhouse emission reductions as the nation
addresses climate change.
Sandra Ely, New Mexico Environment
Department, Director of the Environmental Protection
Division and a climate change specialist.
Chuck White, Waste Management, will present
the tie-ins that climate change has to solid waste
management and recycling.
New Mexico 2007 Legislative Session
This year found almost a dozen bills relating
to recycling, waste reduction and solid waste. This session
is a re-cap of bills that passed and were introduced and
their affect on New Mexico.
Senator Dede Feldman, will
keynote the workshop.
