WHAT YOU CAN DO TODAY

TO STOP JUNK MAIL

Click here for post cards to remove your name from mailing lists. (Print the first page, reload first page and print second page on other side and cut into quarters.)

Just fill out your name, address, signature and the date. Don't forget the postage stamp, and drop it in the mail.

If you have problems printing the post cards, you can write the same information on a post card.

You should notice the effects in just a few weeks. (Be sure to use one postcard for each variation of your name that appears on your junk mail.)

OTHER WAYS TO REDUCE JUNK MAIL
  • Say or write “ Do not sell, rent, or trade my name” anytime you sign up or order anything.
  • Do not fill out warranty cards. They are only used to collect information. You are covered without the card, your receipt is all you need.
  • On mail with first class postage, write “Refused Return to Sender”
  • If a company sends a postage paid reply envelope, use it to send back your request to be removed from their mailing list.
  • Call the 1-800 numbers on unwanted mailing and catalogs and ask to be removed from their mailing list.
IMPORTANT RECYCLING INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR MAIL AND PACKAGING MATERIALS

Foam packing peanuts, bubble wrap and some Styrofoam blocking: these materials are commonly accepted at mailing service store like mailboxes etc. Call the local mail store in your area for more info.

Corrugated cardboard: cardboard is one of the most recycled items in America. Check with local recyclers for more information on what they accept for recycling. Keep in mind they may also accept junk mail that you may still receive.
